Tras la llegada a Venezuela del Fiscal de la Corte Penal Internacional (CPI), Karim Khan, advirtieron que el Ministerio Público inventó una "fumigación" para evitar la presencia de sus funcionarios en la sede principal del organismo este lunes; cuando el jurista británico tiene planeado visitarlo.
Según el exfiscal venezolano Zair Mundaray a los trabajadores del MP les notificaron que no asistan a la institución este primero de noviembre; por "temor a que cualquier funcionario del Ministerio Público aborde al Fiscal ante la CPI, Karim Khan".
DEFENSORA DE LOS DD.HH. HACE UN LLAMADO AL FISCAL DE LA CPI
Por otra parte, la defensora de los Derechos Humanos, Delsa Solórzano, exigió al Fiscal de la CPI, Karim Khan que se haga justicia para los presos políticos que se encuentran en grave estado de salud.
Asimismo, manifestó que esto es consecuencia de las torturas recibidas, donde cientos de familiares de asesinados piden que se aplique la ley sobre estos casos.

Karim Khan, Fiscal de la Corte Penal Internacional (CPI), arribó al país este 31 de octubre, para cumplir con una agenda de tres días. Se tiene previsto que Khan se reúna con autoridades venezolanas y se espera que también lo haga con algunas ONG defensoras de los DDHH. Cabe destacar que la invitación formal fue realizada por la administración de Nicolás Maduro.

"El Fiscal de la CPI, Karim Khan arribó a Venezuela este domingo 31 de octubre, para cumplir una agenda de trabajo de tres días en las que se reunirá con autoridades venezolanas", cita un tuit del canal del Estado.
Asimismo, informaron que el Fiscal conocerá las instituciones del país y establecerá un mecanismo de diálogo.
"En esta ocasión está previsto que el Fiscal Khan conozca de primera mano la marcha de las instituciones del Estado y establezca un dialogo de cooperación positiva, como viene haciendo desde su ratificación del Estatuto de Roma".
